Music

Here is a collection of some of the tracks I have produced for various projects, past and present, with some brief descriptions and information.

“The Meeting”

This track was written for three different guitars and is taken from my solo album “Banish Misfortune.” I play it “live” using a loop station.

“Money Song”

A song written by Marnie and myself. We began working as a duo in 2015 and we both use a loop-station and effects pedals to get our sound. We arrange popular songs from various genres as well as writing our own.

“Angelicus”

Sit back and relax for this one! Written for the illuminated, stilt walking angels of the circus performance company “Corvus Angelicus.”

“As The Crow Flies”

This is a short version of a piece written for Corvus Angelicus who used it to perform a show at the Glastonbury festival Big Top Circus stage.

“You Are Beautiful” featuring Eddie Reader

Eddie is a wonderful vocalist with chart topping hits. She happened to walk into to a Scottish pub where I was playing with the band Elephant Talk. We ended up rehearsing, recording and doing some shows. My guitar on this track is making the keyboard sound by using effects pedals. (I do love my pedals!)

“Natty Loon”

Written during my time in Elephant Talk. The band recorded 5 albums and toured the UK and parts of Europe. This is the title track of the album “Natty Loon” which I recorded at various locations with a laptop and one good microphone! You can checkout the band on Spotify

“Midsummer Night’s Dream”

This is one of many pieces I have made for Theatre in Education projects, creating a magical atmosphere for a children’s Shakespeare production.

“Forever Falling”

This is an album track from “Whole Of The World” by Indigo May, mixing acoustic instruments with electronic sounds.

“Whateverman”

I usually play with a pick (plectrum) but this is a finger style piece played on a steel string acoustic.
